Jackson's 4!

I took Jackson’s four year old pictures a little after he turned four. My sister in-law was disappointed that her favorite picture people left so I tried to cheer her up with FREE pics, and hopefully good ones. These are my fav pictures of the day. Jack and I had lots of fun jumpin’ and doing silly things. He is a fun little boy, its crazy that he is four years old already… wow!

Rattle Snake Lake hike

Gabe and I went hiking on one of his days off up at Rattlesnake Lake in Northgate Wa. We LOVED the whole day. I was able to take my new birthday present (NikonDSLR D5000) and capture all of our day, in like 600 pictures! Haha! Yes, you could say I was a little picture happy, but I had to test out my awesome new cam. Gabe took plenty of his own, I think he secretly loves the camera too! :) I think Gabe and I are going to have to have some more days where we can explore God’s world for a day, because I think we get wrapped up in work and technology that we forget about the simple beauties, like Nature!

This poor little goose had a broken wing but he sure did photograph well

Mexico with the Martinez'

December 2008, Gabe and I flew into Texas and traveled into Mexico with his family for 2 weeks. They live in a small town called Los Angeles, in Nuevo Leon. I had such a blast and can’t wait to go back next winter and every other winter after that. I had my small point and shoot camera but I captured some really great pictures. I love that Gabe’s parents are so outgoing and love to enjoy nature as much as we do! We went on a good 5 mile walk in REALLY hot weather and got some really cool pics. Also we traveled to near by cities, one being Monterray, and got to do some really fun stuff there. Gabe’s grandfather owns a small ranch in Los Angeles and there are a few picture of his home made fences and his beautiful windmill in the sunset. Of course, Mexico would not be Mexico without the four-wheelers to go cruising through the little towns. So much fun!! In Mexico, they ALWAYS have weddings or Quinceneras to attend every day of every week, well at least it seemed like it. I will remember next time to take twice as many dressy clothes than last time. :D
