Life Update

So it has been a VERY long time since I have blogged ANYTHING.... Im not very good at this thing, and I don't even know if anyone is looking at my blog. But if you are, I have updates. First off, Gabe is home from Thailand....(I'll try to post some of his pictures later) lol, he's been home for 3+ months, and I'm very very glad he is back. He enjoyed his time over seas for the most part, lots of interesting things to see and lots of people to meet, but he was pretty much done with all the "new" after about a week and a half. So those last 4 weeks were pretty tough on him. But he is back in Pullman finishing up his LAST semester of college and sooooo happy for that! After he's done he will hopefully be joining his WIFE back to Tri-cities and get a good job and start a little life of our own there. For now, I'm half in Mesa/Richland and half in Pullman! Gotta love jobs away from your husband......NOT! Colonel (our puppy) is growing sooo fast! He's not even really a puppy anymore, just a dog now.... :( Which is sad because I'm more  puppy person than a dog person. But none-the-less I love him he's like my child. Pain in the neck but also very comforting when I'm alone and husband-less.

As most of you who prob read this know, I've been getting into photography pretty seriously. I LOVE taking pictures and creating what I think looks awesome in an image. I feel kind of weird doing it, because it seems like with the new digital SLR's out, everyone and their dogs are doing photography, but I love it and I'm going to do it anyways, but maybe not as seriously as some others do. I also LOVE following photography blogs and FB pages and seeing what other people see through the lens. I hope that VERY professional photographers don't get offended by me trying to become a photographer, and I would more than love helpful critiques, if any of ya are reading this! :) THANKS! So anyways, I still have my position at Kadlec Medical Center, so I am not doing a whole lot of photo sessions, but if you are interested, and aren't pressing for time! I'd love to take an evening and get to know you through the lens. (my email is jessiemtz@gmail.com)

So I leave you with some photos....

Here is my model of a niece Edie just wanting some pictures taken of her!

I love her shoes.... they are for "the beach"

That reminds me, my sister and I (as well as her two kids and our 3 dogs) are all going to the Oregon coast next week! I am UBERLY excited cause I just absolutely love being at the beach. It is soooo relaxing to me and so peaceful. We used to go to the Oregon coast almost every summer when I was younger. We have so many memories and stories from it, and so Libby and I have decided to bring back (hopefully) the yearly trip to the beach. I will have to post about it when we get back, and add some pictures of course!

Gabe and I helped out with Harvest this summer... It was actually a lot of fun but I prob wont be doing it anymore. It is definitely a lot of work and I'm not as willing to give up the better part of my summer. Here are some pictures of our fields.

Lane & Shayla

I BEGGED my good friend Lane, and his fiance Shayla, to let me take some pictures for them.... they happily obliged. Lately I have been really into my pictures, taking them/editing them..... ok not lately, its been my whole life, but now that I'm done with school and have more time for stuff I WANT to do, I have been doing a lot of photography. Lane and Shayla made our little "photoshoot" really fun and gave me some good ideas. They are kind of my first "couple" I've ever taken pictures of, besides my family. It was also my first time meeting Shayla, which was really great. She is a super outgoing and very nice girl, and Lane and her just FIT perfectly together! They were a bundle of laughing and smiling and KISSING.... I wish them the best of luck with the wedding and everything that goes on with that, and I also wish them a long happy life together! Thanks again you two!

Trayden

This is Trayden, one of the happiest lil guy's I know. He is my good friend Kassen's little boy. I went over to Wyoming for a couple days to visit all my friends over there and Kassen wanted me to take some pictures. They turned out quite well, he did an awesome job. There really wasn't a picture of him without him smiling. I love this little guy and can't wait to see him again.

Chloe and William

Here are my super cute little niece and nephew Chloe and William. I can't believe how old they are.... Chloe is in kindergarten already! I took them out for a fun day at the Park one afternoon. I don't get to hang out with them as often as I'd like, but I guess that is what happens when you have to work and have other things going on. Growing up is interesting.... not as much time to do the things you use to before you were obligated to work and maintain your own life. I'm doing it though, and taking pictures too! So here are some pics of our playdate!

Thailand for Gabe!

Well I had to drop my hunny off to the Seattle airport on the 12th.... I was sad to see him go. He is going to Thailand to study for 6 weeks. He is doing this so that he can get his major in International Business, and to finish school in December instead of next may! Im excited about that! I wasn't so excited to hear that he was going to be missing out on our first anniversary being married. But there are sacrifices needing to be made, and I guess this is one of them. I am keeping myself busy just working and doing little hobbies! I miss him lots and lots though! There is a big political outbreak in Bangkok, Thailand that is very violent. Many deaths by civilians. The group is fine, they got out of Bangkok as soon as the outbreak got worse. It still worries me though, and I'm glad Gabe got a cell phone in Thailand so he can call me every so often. It's good to hear his voice and to know he is away from the trouble. The time difference is 14 hours..... I just add two hours to our time and reverse polarity.. like instead of AM its PM.... it works for me! So i'm husbandless for a couple weeks, so if anyone is in the area and wants to get together, let me know.... I'm lonely and I'd love to visit!

Davis's

My sister really wanted a family picture! So I took them for her, OF COURSE! I love my sister and her family, I spend a lot of time with them. I thought I was going to have problems with taking picture of the kids, when in reality, the two grown-ups complained more! I think the kids were more excited! Edie is always photogenic and usually loves the attention, Crue is a little harder to get a good pic of. I love these people so much, they have and will always be there for me!

Meet the Davis Family!
